Paul Booker answered on 10 Mar 2015:
Technetium! It’s the first element in the periodic table without any stable isotopes, and has lots of medical uses! Also not many people have heard of it so it’s a good answer in Pointless.
Clare Devery answered on 10 Mar 2015:
I’d say carbon. Because without carbon we wouldn’t have diamonds…and every girl loves diamonds!

Could I get away with saying Deuterium? I like its simplicity.
Samantha Terry answered on 10 Mar 2015:
mine is Indium, but only because I do a lot of work with its radioisotope In-111.
Glafkos Havariyoun answered on 10 Mar 2015:
Molybdenum! That’s where Technetium comes from! We use it all the time in Nuclear Medicine to get Technetium.
