I don’t really have any spare time at work! My job is split into two parts – a clinical service part and a research part. Clinical service involves testing the machines and making sure all the patients can be scanned safely. Once these duties are complete I can work away on my research. That is not an exact set task and will never be ‘finished’, there is always more to learn! So, never a dull moment 🙂

I too don’t really get any spare time. The beauty and sometimes annoyance of science is that it is part practical work and part thinking. And of course, you can think anywhere! If I do do something other than work, I tend to go for long walks in the countryside and read a good book.

Spare time at work I usually help other people with physics or their research projects! Working in a bigger team is so helpful you can get ideas you’ve never thought of and it helps with your work.
