I started my studies back in 2003 ( wow that long ago?!)

Hardest thing was my PhD (nuclear physics – in particular hadron physics) it is a very hard topic to grasps – the theoretical models that we needed to prove/disprove was very complicated. It took me years to understand it fully but in the end it was a great achievement.

I have been working in science for 1.5 years and I started my studies in 2010 🙂 . Nuclear physics was the hardest field!

I finished school in 2008 and have been studying or working in Physics since then. I found some of the modules that we had to study at university quite difficult – general reletivity and thermodynamics especially. These subjects can be hard to grasp because they describe complex theories but without any everyday applications. That’s the reason I ended up in medical physics – I really liked that the theories could be seen in practice.

I have been working as a scientist (PhD onwards) for 9 years and find every new think I try the hardest!

I’ve been studying or working in science full time since 2006 (so nearly 9 years!) but I think anybody can call themselves a scientist as long as they apply the scientific method to their work. I’m sure you’re a scientist too, just maybe only in certain lessons at the moment! I can’t remember a particular subject being hard, but I do remember having lots of deadlines at the same time one summer and working all day every day for several months to get everything done – not fun!
