If somebody says strawberries are red and points at one, and you both agree it appears the same colour (whatever that is) to you, then it doesn’t matter what colour you call it, but red will do!

We don’t ! I could see a red as a different shade of red than you ! But if you were taught that your yellow (my red) is red then at one point we would disagree with a colour. I would say it’s one thing whereas you would say it is another.

But we can’t prove that we all see the same shades of each colour.

In physics red is red it has a defined wave length

But someone can see red differently

This is a very philosophical question.Indeed, how do you ever know anything is real? There is no way to know for certain, i.e. 100% sure, that your red is my red etc.

The is a definitive red – defined by wavelength…but no way of knowing what other people see!
