I will be travelling to Austria and Cyprus this winter to work with other healthcare scientists ! Hopefully learn from them and teach a few things we do here!

I would love to go to Chile to teach (that’s where my family is from) but the opportunity hasn’t come up yet. Hopefully one day!

I moved to the Netherlands for my work – does that count? Also, whenever I am on my travels abroad I always get asked what I do and then have a brief chat about things as people ask me stuff, same as you are doing here.

Not just yet, but the opportunities are certainly out there. Medical physics is an international topic, with the techniques being used to varying degrees in all hospitals in every country. Things are more developed here in the UK than other countries and we can pass on our experiences to help implement new techniques around the world. I’d love to get involved in this!

I haven’t – although this is something I’d like to do. A couple of my colleagues have been involved in setting up radiotherapy centres in less economically developed countries (Nepal for example) and it sounds like a really worthwhile experience.
