Hello 🙂 I started by studying Physics, Chemistry and Maths at school (for the equivalent of my A-levels, I went to school in Ireland and so did the leaving certificate instead.) From there I completed a degree in Physics at University in Dublin, Ireland. Following that I graduated with a masters in Medical Physics from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. After those five years at university I had decided that I wanted to work as a Clinical Scientist in a hospital. ‘Clinical Scientist’ is a protected title and you need to be registered by the state in order to work as one. In order to become state registered I enrolled on a training scheme which I am in the process of completing. The training takes 8 years in total from when you start university, so it a long road but very worthwhile and endlessly interesting!
