      Hello again!

I think you mean that the benefits outweigh the risks 🙂

The benefits outweigh the risks by a large amount!

Lets think about it in this way: What would happen if the patient with cancer didn’t have the radiation treatment?

Answer: The patient would live a shorter life, the cancer would grow and go to other parts of his/her body and unfortunately die.

However with the treatment the cancer may be cured or slowed down! This on its own gives a very large benefit!

There are some risk of secondary radiation induced cancers to occur because of the treatment. BUT this is why we make sure that the healthy tissue around the cancer receives the least amount of tissue!

      Hope this answers the question!
